Camp For All, a unique barrier-free camp for children and adults with challenging illnesses and special needs, seeks an Assistant Camp Director. This position offices in the Burton/Brenham Camp location and reports to the Camp Director. The Assistant Camp Director is expected to help create and maintain a professional environment where the Camp For All mission is carried forward. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with an innovative and dynamic team which supports work-life balance, professionalism, diversity, inclusion, and quality in all that we do, while always putting the mission first.
The Assistant Camp Director will be responsible for supporting the program and kitchen departments, along with general camp leadership. This person will work with the Camp Director to schedule our camps, recruit, hire, train and evaluate staff, as well as communicate with our partner groups. We are seeking a well-spoken, versatile individual with proven team building and leadership abilities.
The Assistant Camp Director is also a member of the administrative team who works together throughout the year to take Camp For All to the next level for those we serve and all of the employees. This person will have the ability to exercise current professional skills as well as personal growth in developing the scope and impact for this new position.
The position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a preference in special education, therapeutic recreation or similar degree; a minimum of eight years of experience in camp program development, staff training and supervision; computer skills are required. This position includes a competitive salary and benefits.
