Pat Prior Sorrells

Since 2007, Pat Prior Sorrells has served as President and CEO of Camp For All, a unique, barrier- free camp that transforms the world for children and adults with challenging illnesses, disabilities, or special needs. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing all Camp operations, including partnerships, fundraising, and quality camping experiences for nearly 9,000 campers throughout the year.

Pat began her career in advertising and marketing at Metzdorf Advertising in Houston where she worked for seven years as an account executive with companies such as Blue Bell Ice Cream, KPRC 2 (NBC affiliate), Memorial Hermann Health System, and Westin Hotels. In addition, she worked at Point Communications in Dallas where clients included KTVT (CBS affiliate) and a major realtor.

As a volunteer, Pat chaired and co-chaired events, including the Junior League of Houston Charity Ball, the first Parish School Giving Voice to Children Luncheon, and the Neuhaus Education Center Annual Luncheon. She was Editor of the Junior League Houston News magazine and became the founding President of the Parent Auxiliary at The Parish School. Pat has served on the Board of Directors of The Parish School, St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, The Periwinkle Foundation, the Neuhaus Education Center, and St. John’s School Alumni Board, as well as Camp For All. Her nonprofit experience also includes Bo’s Place, the American Cancer Society, Northwest Academy, and Houston Grand Opera.

Pat’s professional nonprofit experience began at The Parish School where she served as the Director of Development and launched the annual giving campaign. This was followed by 10 years as the Executive Director of The Periwinkle Foundation where she grew the organization from serving 250 children to more than 3,000. Capital Campaign experience includes the Junior League of Houston, St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, and Camp For All.

The Houston Business Journal has honored Pat several times. In 2019, she was recognized as one of the city’s Most Admired CEOs, and in 2021 as a Woman Who Means Business. Pat was also acknowledged as Distinguished Alumna of the Year in 2012 by St. John’s School and has received service awards from The Parish School and St. Stephen’s Episcopal School. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the American Camp Association’s Medical and Disability Kindred Group, the American Camp Association, and The Junior League of Houston, Inc.

A native Houstonian, Pat is a graduate of St. John’s School and the University of Texas at Austin. She lives in Houston with her husband, Gordon. They have two married sons and four grandsons.
